Gerald Cassidy

American, (1869–1934)


Gerald Cassidy was born in Covington, Kentucky in 1869. He attended the Art Students League of New York, the Cincinnati Academy of Fine Arts, and the National Academy of Design School. Cassidy started his career as a lithographer before being commissioned to paint his first mural for the founding directorof the Museum of New Mexico. His artwork has been displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Adobe Gallery. He died in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1934.
